Job summary

IT Operations Manager is responsible for supervising the daily functions of the EIA helpdesk and will manage all aspects of the technology infrastructure, desktop systems, notebook, remote computing, network maintenance and support, telecommunications, and audio visual systems.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily operation and maintenance of the organization's entire technology program, including all network maintenance and support, PC hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Manages user support Help Desk operations, including high-level support of all the organization's standard software applications.
• Develops and maintains departmental and organizational IT policies and procedures.
• Works with and makes recommendations to the Chief Technology Officer regarding all functions of the technology platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. Microsoft accredited.
• 6 - 8 years technology systems management experience desired; 4 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of PC applications, network administration, and telecommunications systems. Experience with Cisco telephone systems preferred.
• Strong technical background with extensive experience in supporting Microsoft technologies.

Skills

• Expert knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of server and software platforms, including: Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare), SQL Server, Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), Cisco Call Manager.
