About the Role
To manage and maintain the organization’s general ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciliations, managing asset records, supporting budgeting processes, and contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, adjustments, reclassifications).
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS / GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Manage and maintain fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation calculations.
- Monitor capital expenditures and ensure proper accounting treatment of assets.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Provide support to management in budget planning and control processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements in accounting and reporting.
Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role.
- Experience in asset accounting and budget monitoring.
- Proficiency in ERP (SAP) /accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
