Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of cost accounting processes, including cost analysis, inventory valuation, and cost allocation.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost control procedures and best practices.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing detailed cost insights and projections.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, work-in-progress, and finished goods, ensuring proper valuation and reconciliation.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting or related financial roles.
  • Proven track record in managing cost accounting functions within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
