Additionally, you will support internal evaluations related to risk management, business restructuring, and potential divestitures or spin-offs. This role plays a key part in ensuring investment decisions are aligned with the organization’s long-term strategic objectives and value creation goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Drive the end-to-end process of identifying and prioritizing strategic growth opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and organic expansion.
- Lead the preparation and review of financial models, investment cases, and business valuations to support high-impact decision-making.
- Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership and governance bodies through well-structured proposals and presentations.
- Continuously scan market dynamics, sector developments, and competitive benchmarks to shape and refine the investment strategy.
- Oversee in-depth research efforts aimed at identifying attractive sectors and market entry opportunities.
- Partner with subsidiary leadership teams to refine strategic initiatives, assess business opportunities, and develop robust investment plans.
- Critically evaluate key assumptions within financial forecasts, strategic proposals, and impairment analyses.
- Act as a point of contact for external financial, legal, and strategic advisors to streamline due diligence, valuation, and transaction processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams across functions to ensure seamless execution of investment activities.
- Develop executive-level reports, investment updates, and board materials, with a focus on clarity and strategic alignment.
- Utilize strategic frameworks (e.g., SWOT, PESTEL) to support investment planning and risk assessments.
- Uphold compliance with internal governance policies, risk controls, and ESG or sustainability mandates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Strategy, or a related discipline; postgraduate credentials (MBA, CFA, CPA) are a plus.
- 7–15 years of relevant experience across investment analysis, corporate strategy, or M&A execution.
- Proven ability to lead complex deal processes and deliver strategic investment outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, business valuation, and scenario analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing large-scale strategic initiatives.
