JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the mechanical design and development of innovative lighting fixtures and systems.
• Ensure designs meet mechanical, thermal, and structural performance requirements as well as IP (Ingress Protection), impact resistance, and environmental standards.
• Drive new product concepts and enhance existing designs to improve performance, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.
• Oversee the development of 3D models, 2D technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
• Lead prototype development, mechanical testing, and validation activities to ensure reliability and quality standards are met.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for any product failures or issues.
• Work with the supply chain and production teams to ensure mechanical designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and cost (DFC).
• Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and technologies.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all mechanical designs, test results, design changes, and project reports.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• +5 years of Experience in similar role.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials, thermal management, structural analysis, and sealing techniques.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or similar.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as die-casting, sheet metal forming, injection molding, and CNC machining.
