Position Overview

The BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and maintaining Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across multidisciplinary project teams. The role involves ensuring compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), coordinating model exchanges, resolving clashes, and supporting project delivery through efficient use of BIM technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Coordination
• Oversee and coordinate 3D BIM models from multiple disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP).
• Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts using Navisworks, Revit, or other coordination tools.
• Maintain federated models and ensure proper model alignment and accuracy.
• Standards & Compliance
• Ensure project deliverables adhere to BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), and industry standards (ISO 19650, PAS 1192, etc.).
• Implement and enforce BIM protocols and workflows.
• Collaboration & Support
• Facilitate coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM processes and tools.
• Work closely with BIM Manager to update and improve BIM standards.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Produce regular clash detection and coordination reports.
• Assist in preparing 4D (time) and 5D (cost) simulations where applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation of BIM processes, decisions, and project records.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 4–7 years of experience in BIM coordination within the AEC industry.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM-related software.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and guidelines (ISO 19650, PAS 1192, AIA, etc.).
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination (MEP, Structural, Architectural).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 4D/5D BIM, Dynamo, or scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with CDE (Common Data Environment) platforms such as BIM 360, Revizto, or Aconex.
• BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BRE, RICS, or similar) is a plus.
