Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Investment Analyst based in Port Louis, Mauritius with an option for remote working. The Investment Analyst will play a key role in evaluating and structuring investment opportunities across Wave Capital’s core sectors. The role involves conducting detailed financial and economic analysis, preparing investor-grade financial models, and drafting professional Investment Memorandums (IMs) and transaction documents for internal committees, partners, and institutional investors.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Conducting sector and market research (energy, industrials, housing, infrastructure)

Building, reviewing, and stress-testing financial models for potential investments

Preparing detailed Investment Memorandums, teasers, and presentations for investors and lenders

Supporting due diligence and valuation processes

Monitoring portfolio performance and updating project forecasts

Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders (advisors, regulators, partners)


Qualifications

Strong analytical skills and finance expertise

Proven experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, and portfolio management

Advanced proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling (DCF, project finance, IRR, DSCR, etc.)

Excellent written communication skills, particularly in drafting Investment Memorandums and investor reports

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred)

Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent are advantageous

Prior experience in private equity, investment banking, or project finance is a plu
