Role Overview
We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting (F&A) team. The role will focus on ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient month-end closing processes within our Shared Services Center (SSC). The ideal candidate will bring expertise across financial processes — including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) — and a strong understanding of SAP FI/CO modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in line with company policies and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Support the end-to-end R2R process, ensuring compliance and standardization across entities.
- Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting teams to ensure integrity of financial data.
- Review and validate intercompany transactions, accruals, and adjustments.
- Participate in financial reporting, controlling, and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
- Contribute to the optimization of month-end close procedures, identifying areas for process improvement and automation.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of SAP S/4HANA and Central Finance projects.
- Ensure alignment with global financial standards and internal controls.
- Partner with the Controlling (CO) team on cost center, profit center, and cost allocation accounting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA qualification is a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in General Ledger Accounting or similar roles within a multinational or Shared Services environment.
- Solid understanding of SAP FI/CO modules (GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Controlling).
- Strong knowledge of financial processes (P2P, O2C, R2R) and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end closing and financial consolidation.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
