- Job Title: Utilities Engineer Supervisor
- Overview:
The Senior Utilities Engineer is responsible for supervising, designing, operating, and maintaining all utility systems within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures the continuous, efficient, and safe delivery of utilities such as steam, thermal oil, compressed air, water, and electricity. The Senior Engineer leads a team to achieve operational excellence, energy efficiency, and full compliance with safety and environmental standards. - Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee the operation and maintenance of all utility systems, including thermal oil plant, steam plant, compressed air systems, water treatment, cooling plant, vacuum system, and power generators.
- Lead a team of technicians to ensure uninterrupted utility supply to production lines.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and ensure timely execution.
- Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.
- Analyze utility system performance, energy, and water consumption to identify improvement opportunities.
- Initiate and lead energy-saving and cost-optimization projects.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate utilities with plant operations.
- Prepare reports, KPIs, and technical documentation for management review.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and coaching to junior engineers and operators.
- Participate in equipment commissioning, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.
