Job Purpose:
To manage and control all post-contract activities for construction projects, ensuring effective cost management, contract administration, and compliance with company policies, legal standards, and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage post-contract phases of construction projects, including variations, claims, payments, and contract close-out.
Review and evaluate contractors’ claims, change orders, and payment applications.
Ensure all contractual obligations are met and that records are properly maintained.
Monitor project budgets and costs to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
Prepare regular reports on contract performance, risks, and financial progress.
Coordinate with the technical, finance, and site teams to resolve contractual and commercial issues.
Provide advice and guidance on contractual matters to project teams and management.
Participate in contract negotiations and settlements with contractors and consultants when required.
Support continuous improvement in post-contract management processes and documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management or quantity surveying, preferably with a real estate developer or large construction firm.
Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and local construction laws.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and contract management software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
