Investment Company For Production & Manufacturing (ICPM) one of bin laden companies group in Egypt realize its responsibilities to provide Hight quality services in many of major Projects in the filed of (Aluminum works, Wood works, Steel works, Pre-cast concrete products, ready mix. , Cementation block, Tile & Interlock)


Job Purpose:

To manage all quantity surveying functions and oversee preparation of project extracts, measurements, valuations, and cost control activities to ensure accurate billing, effective cost management, and compliance with contract requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Quantity Surveying Duties

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings (architectural, structural, MEP).
  • Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and material schedules.
  • Verify subcontractors’ quantities, claims, and invoices.
  • Prepare monthly valuations, interim payment applications, and certify completed works.
  • Manage and update cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
  • Conduct rate analysis for new items and variations.
  • Identify, prepare, and submit variation claims and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support procurement by preparing inquiry packages, comparisons, and recommendations.


2. Extracts Engineering / Site Measurements

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly extracts based on actual site progress.
  • Coordinate with site engineers to verify measurements and ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain updated records of:
  • Quantities executed on-site
  • Material consumption
  • Wastage and productivity rates
  • Prepare as-built quantity reports for final account submissions.
  • Maintain measurement logs and ensure alignment with contract drawings.


3. Contract & Commercial Management

  • Review contract conditions and specifications for commercial risks.
  • Prepare documentation for EOT, claims, and contractual correspondences.
  • Assist in negotiation with the client, consultant, and subcontractors.
  • Support project management in controlling project budgets and reducing cost deviations.


4. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with planning, engineering, procurement, and finance departments.
  • Attend progress meetings and present updates on extracts and quantities.
  • Liaise with consultants to clarify discrepancies related to quantities or drawings.


5. Reporting

  • Issue monthly cost reports, commercial dashboards, and progress extracts.
  • Prepare the final account including all claims, variations, and re-measurements.


Qualifications & Skills Required


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant with minimum general grade good.


Experience

  • 4–10 years experience in QS, cost control, or extracts engineering (depending on company level).
  • Strong background in contracting, infrastructure, or finishing projects.


Technical Skills

  • Excellent command of AutoCAD, Excel, and QS software (Candy/CCS, Cost, Plan swift – optional).
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC and contract terms.
  • Advanced skills in measurement techniques, rate analysis, and cost reporting.


Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
