We’re entering an exciting new phase — evolving from startup MVP to a real-time, scalable operations platform — and we’re looking for a QA professional who treats quality like a product.

What We’re Looking For

We don’t want someone who just waits for a test case.

We want someone who leads without the title — who builds systems, not just follows them.

If you’re used to working reactively, ticking boxes, and asking “what do you want me to do?” — this role isn’t for you.

You’ll own the QA function, set standards, and use automation to scale quality across everything we ship.

You’ll operate with autonomy, curiosity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

What You’ll Do

• Own the QA Process – Define and execute the entire quality strategy, tooling, and release gates.
• Build From Scratch – Create automated UI and API frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or equivalent.
• Design & Lead Testing Strategy – Prioritise based on risk, product logic, and real-world usage.
• Run Exploratory Tests – Uncover bugs automation won’t catch — simulate real user friction points.
• Integrate into CI/CD – Own quality within GitHub Actions pipelines and ensure deployment stability.
• Document Obsessively – Create documentation that scales onboarding and quality standards.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with engineers and product managers in agile ceremonies.

AI Experience is a Plus

We’re deeply integrating AI into our workflows.

If you’ve used AI tools in real-world QA — for test case generation, bug triage, visual comparisons, or performance insights — that’s a big advantage.

Commitment & Work Style

This is a full-time role with flexibility in how you structure your day, but there are a few non-negotiables:

• Full-Time Commitment – This isn’t a side gig.
• Hours Logged via Hubstaff – Target: 40 hours per week.
• Meeting Availability – Be available during UK business hours (9am–5pm UK) for calls and reviews.
• Reliability – We’re a high-trust, high-talent team that moves fast and delivers together.

Skills & Experience That Matter

• 3+ years in QA roles with strong automation experience
• Proven track record of building UI and API test frameworks from scratch
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on with Cypress, Playwright, or React Testing Library
• Experience with CI/CD testing integration (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable working remotely with accountability

Bonus Points For

• Experience with AI-powered QA tools (CodiumAI, Testim, QA Wolf, etc.)
• Visual and performance testing (Percy, Lighthouse, JMeter)
• Accessibility or security testing
• SaaS or B2B QA experience
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
