Role Summary:
We are looking for a Category Manager who will be responsible for developing and managing the product portfolio within a designated category, including identifying business development opportunities, conducting market research, and analyzing consumer insights. The role focuses on building a strategic product pipeline, exploring new customer and market opportunities, and defining category and brand propositions to drive business growth.
What will you do in this role?
· Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
· Devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
· Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
· Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands.
· Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
· Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.
· Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
· Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory.
· Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category.
· Perform other duties as instructed which contribute to the effective management of the company.
· Deal with staff issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as.
· Discover, develop, train and mentor the employees has a potential for promotion.
· Observe and uphold extremely high safety and quality standards.
· Attend and/or conduct seminars, training and workshops as per the company requirement.
· Cultivate smooth interpersonal relationships with colleagues, management and customers.
What do you need to have this job?
· Holder of a bachelor’s degree in business or any related field.
· Bilingual – English & Arabic
· Written and verbal communication skills
