Job Description

  • Develop and deliver engaging English language arts lessons to middle school students, aligning with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a love for reading and writing.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and educational technologies to address diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student achievement and address individual learning challenges.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities that promote language proficiency and literary appreciation.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as reading clubs, writing competitions, or school events, to enrich the student experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with school policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions to stay current with best practices in education.
  • Uphold school policies, procedures, and ethical standards, serving as a positive role model for students.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of proven experience teaching English at the middle school level.
  • English Fluency is a must.
  • Demonstrated expertise in English language arts curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology into classroom instruction.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices.
