Job Overview:
ACE is seeking a skilled BIM Engineer to join the Dr. Mourad M. Bakhoum Sector, specializing in plumbing and firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in BIM workflows to support the development of accurate, coordinated building services models.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage BIM models for plumbing and firefighting systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate plumbing and fire protection systems within overall BIM models.
Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and schematics for plumbing and firefighting installations.
Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts between plumbing, firefighting, and other building systems using BIM tools.
Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Collaborate with design engineers to optimize system layouts for constructability and efficiency.
Update and maintain BIM models throughout project lifecycle, reflecting design changes and as-built conditions.
Support project managers and site teams by providing accurate BIM data and documentation.
Participate in coordination meetings and present BIM models to stakeholders as needed.
Stay current with advancements in BIM technology and best practices for plumbing and firefighting systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3 to 7 years of experience in BIM modeling for plumbing and firefighting systems.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection system design and installation.
Experience with clash detection and resolution in a multidisciplinary environment.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, IPC, local regulations).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
