Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation, review, and negotiation of complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to engineering and technical projects
Apply in-depth knowledge of contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk management principles to protect the company's interests
Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement teams, and legal counsel to develop comprehensive contract terms and conditions
Analyze contract requirements, technical specifications, and commercial considerations to identify potential areas of risk or concern
Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, advocating for favorable terms while maintaining positive relationships
Monitor contract performance and ensure all parties fulfill their contractual obligations
Manage contract amendments, extensions, and renewals in a timely and efficient manner
Develop and implement processes to streamline contract management and improve efficiency
Maintain detailed records of all contracts, amendments, and related correspondence
Prepare comprehensive reports on contract status, performance, and compliance for senior management
Serve as the subject matter expert on contract-related issues, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams
Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a focus on Contract Management or Procurement
4+ years of experience in a technical contract management or tendering role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry
Demonstrated expertise in contract law, negotiation tactics, and risk mitigation strategies
