Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
- Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations with suppliers and contractors.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials and work completed.
- Prepare interim and final payment applications and certifications for contractors and suppliers.
- Analyze project risks and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all quantity surveying activities and contractual correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation and review of tender documents and procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Experience with contract administration and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying tools.
- Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment with occasional site visits.
