This course provides an in-depth and practical understanding of the Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100) role, focusing on designing secure, resilient, and compliant solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. It begins with an overview of the cybersecurity architect responsibilities, security posture assessments, and real-world use cases that guide architectural decisions.
Learners explore core architectural strategies such as Zero Trust, the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), and the Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF), ensuring security designs align with Microsoft best practices, including the Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architecture (MCRA) and Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark (MCSB). The course addresses modern cyber threats like ransomware, along with compliance, privacy, and regulatory considerations.
Key topics include identity as the new security perimeter, Identity and Access Management (IAM), privileged access security, and cloud security enhancements using CSPM and CWPP. Participants also learn to design secure solutions for endpoints, networks, applications, and data across IaaS and PaaS services.
The course further covers security operations, SIEM, SOAR, and XDR, threat intelligence, threat modeling, and the impact of AI and Copilot on cybersecurity architecture, preparing learners for real-world security design and the SC-100 exam.
