Job Description

The role of Electrical and Mechanical Estimators is crucial in the construction and engineering sectors, particularly in Beirut, Lebanon. These professionals are responsible for analyzing project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical and mechanical systems. They play a vital role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The estimators collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to gather necessary data and provide insights that influence project feasibility and execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Review project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work.
2. Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical and mechanical systems, including materials, labor, and overhead.
3. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for accurate estimates.
4. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify project requirements and specifications.
5. Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
6. Maintain a database of costs for materials and labor to improve future estimates.
7. Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates to stakeholders.
8. Monitor project budgets and costs during the construction phase to ensure compliance with estimates.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations affecting electrical and mechanical systems.
10. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals for potential projects.
